{SC's May Kit: Planetarium Revealed}

The blog's been suffering, but I wanted to pop on and share the latest Studio Calico kit - May's Planetarium - and what I put together with it.  This one was a fave for sure!

E&N - made entirely with the main kit "Planetarium" - love this pic of my boys being sweet for all of 10 seconds.  ;)  You can find the & cut HERE.

Beach Afternoon - lots of pics from our first "official" afternoon at the beach - and a mix of phone pics AND big camera shots - they are all sized to 2x2.  You can find that CUTIE sun cut HERE.

Evan - More with that sun cut (sure to be a new fave!) and some cute older pics of Ev from last year this time.

Hello Almost Three - I wrote out the journaling for this to be a blog post a few weeks back and then never added the pics to hit publish.  TYPICAL me these days.  ;)  I might just add it to the blog schedule for later in the week.  If i can get it together enough to make that happen! 

Tybee - Eric and I hit up Tybee Island a few weeks ago for their wine festival, sans kids.  It was FREAKING FANTASTIC.  :))  Lots of Project Life kit cards used here.

You Make Me Happy - Last page - just a big 12x12 pic that I love from last month + a Project Life kit card and voila instant layout.  :))  try it!

{SC's April Kit: Spencer's Revealed}

Studio Calico's April Kit - Spencer's - is now live!

I worked with the Main kit - Spencer's - this month, along with Addon #1 Front Porch Blend, and Addon #2 Daily Grind, and the Card Kit and Project Life Kit.

This is what I made...

"KEFF" - Created entirely with the main kit Spencer's - I wanted to use the alpha print SC paper to document Noah's cute little name he made up for the letters that he's not quite sure of >> "keff".  We kinda love it.  ;)  I took this pic especially to fit the page after i had the design in mind.

"Hello Hits" - I blogged these photos a few weeks back.  Evan's been a hit machine this season and i thought it deserved a page.  I wanted the large photo that I snapped through the gate to be the focus.  :)

"You" - Noah is ALWAYS attempting to make us laugh, or do something silly >> like he was in these pics of our favorite play glasses.  I used one of the project life kit cards as part of the title here.  The photos are printed as 3x4's - 2up on a 4x6 print.

{SC's March Kit: Neverland Revealed}

Starting this month - the Creative Team gallery goes live at noon EST...  allowing me to blog projects early (yay!) - the full reveal is still slated for midnight on the 27th (today) each month.

Neverland (March) was a great kit...  So great I made eight (yep EIGHT) layouts with it - and addons 1-Tink, 2-Lost Boys, & 4-Hook, along with the Project life kit.

Here we go...

"First Year" is entirely made from the main kit - Neverland.

...I had these tiny pics (1.25x1.75 inches) printed 6 per 4x6 print, then trimmed them leaving a white border.  They are all from Evan's first year - It's hard to believe that was almost 6 years ago...!

"Evan & Noah" - I took similar pics of both boys as newborns in the same hat and same bowl and same setup bc I'm crazy like that and i love to compare.  And now I'm glad I did - love the combined effect the two pics have on this page.

The 'to the moon' stamp set is amazing - and ALSO IS AVAIL AS A DIGI BRUSH (!!!) here.  Grab it.  It will seriously be the best $6.99 you ever spent.

"Hello Love" was my take on a challenge this month to lift the creative team member above me (alphabetically!).  I adore Tina's style and was so excited to recreate a page of hers.  This gorgeous page of hers is what my page is modeled after.

"Insta Summer" - my insta pages were in full swing this month - thanks to the cute insta love stamp!  These are all faves from last summer - and I hand-stitched the title to make it match.

"Insta-Faves" - all from 2012 and arranged super simple in a grid.  There's something freeing and nice about scrapping instas for a change!

"Last Summer" - This was the last page that I made, and there's lots of product used here that I just couldnt bear NOT to use.  Like that fab kraft camera paper!!!

"Naughty-Pants" - Noah is nothing if not mischeivious.  And we love it.  And I love that this pic shows off that look from him that I see way too often right now!  (12x12 pic used as page base printed at Costco >> easy peasy!)

"Two" - I do photo invites for the boys birthdays each year.  They usually match the theme of the party (and interests at the time!) and I love having them to look back on.  This was Noah's second bday invite - from his DINO-ROAR party - and I wanted to create a page for it.  I attached it with Washi tape so that it can easily be flipped to view the backside.

And THAT was March.  Can't believe spring is this close...

I'm ready for it!

I created this page for the SC blog this week...

I used some of my very FAVORITE new SC products that were released at Winter CHA - along with a specific color pallette:

Red, Aqua, Pink, & Kraft!

{Studio Calico's Front Row}

And just like that we're a few days away from February.

I need to make an effort to blog more in february.  ;)

For now, here are the projects that I made with Studio Calico's February Kit - FRONT ROW - and some of it's addon friends - Front Row Project Life Kit, Addon #1 Big Screen, Addon #2 Popcorn, and Addon #3 Matinee...

Two & a Half.  I plan on adding this toddler milestone page into N's every month baby scrapbook.  This was created entirely with the Main Kit - Front Row.

We Were Here.  The title card that I used here was from the Project Life kit this month.  I don't do a lot of vertical 12 inch photos, but this one worked well here when I layered a couple of instagrams from our trio onto the page as well.  I cut the 'asheville' from the vellum that was included in the main kit.

Hello 2013.  This pic was begging to be scrapped.  ;)  And it was fun to have a good excuse to work some pink onto a page for a change!

And that was February!

{SC's January Kit: Block Party!}

It's officially a party!  ;)

January launched the first ever Studio Calico project life kit (which i GRABBED!), as well as the division of the creative team into scrapbook/card/project life sectors. 

So from now on, you will just be seeing scrapbook layouts from me...!  I love love LOVE making cards (too!), but my goal for 2013 is more balance, and one step in that direction was limiting my monthly projects at SC to just layouts.

>>> Ok here we go - I had the MAIN Block Party, Addon #2 Wildberry Ct, Addon #3 Pioneer Dr, the card kit, and the project life kit.  (it was a good month!)

RIght Now is what was i made COMPLETELY with the main kit (and printables).  My sister Kimmie took the pic of eric and me when she shot our family shoot last fall (which i can't wait for her to blog now that I've used it in my holiday card!), and the pics of the boys are recent shots i snapped.

Favorite is a RARE RARE showing of my own handwriting...  ;)  AND a favorite photo from the fall!

Hello You uses a card from the project life kit as part of the title.  I don't really use landscape 3x4's in PL so this was a good use of that card for me!

HELLO Mickey was just fun for me.  Our disney trip at the start of the month was a BLAST, and i wanted a quick and easy page with lots of photos on it.

and that was January!

{SC's December Kit: 34th Street Revealed!}

I have projects from Studo Calico's December kit - 34th Street - to share with you today.  (the kit was revealed last night!)

I love love LOVED December's kit - so much that I got the main, card kit, and ALL FOUR ADDONS.  yep.  ;))  This is what I made with it...

...Happiness Here - Created entirely with the Main Kit and some of the printables for the month.  I used "print and cut" on my Silhouette to print them then trim them out.  Eric snapped these pics of the boys with me on our fall vacay last month.

...Good Cheer - a favorite pic from last Christmas!  I created this page entirely with addon #4 Kris Kringle.

...She Said - inpired by this journaling card that was included in the kit.  Another vacay pic that just makes me smile.  :)

...Hello Love - created entirely with the December main card kit!  love the little 6x6 paper pad that comes with the card kit!

...Hello There - lots of what I loved from the month's kit - all thrown together on a card.  ;)  WISH i had had more time to do a bit more, but that was so far from the case this month...

{SC's November Sock Hop Revealed!}

This was a GREAT month...  I spent a few days of quality time with this month's November Kit - Sock Hop - plus the card kit and addons #1 - Bobby Socks, #2 - Penny Loafers, and #3 - Poodle Skirt >>> and love what I managed to create.

You 2 - The stamps on this page were from Addon #4 Leather Jacket.  I know that this is a stamp set that will stay out on my counter for use in my Project LIfe album for quite a while!

Chit Chat - such a fun way to document some of my little convo's with N, right now!

Hello Memory - a favorite FAVORITE photo from this month, that my sister snapped while we were having our little "farm day".  :))  I wanted to keep this one simple with the focus on the big pic.  Title is cut from vellum in the main kit (wisdom script font).

Merci - the "merci" flag is one of SC's digi cuts available this month.  LOVE.  :)

I am so so SO excited for November - for my birthday, thanksgiving, time off with the kids, and a SLOWER pace.  hooray.  :))

{Scrapbook Shares!}

Popping in today with a little scrapbook share...  

I got a big box of Queen & Co's newest goodies (tape, twine, buttons, gems >> aka everything i love!) a few weeks ago, and decided to put them to good use here:

The washi tape, gems, buttons and twine are all Queen & Co.  The background paper is SC and one of my all-time faves.  I kinda need to hoard it ;)

Seemed perfect for both the beach theme of my pics and the colors the boys were wearing!

...There's also lots of Studio Calico paper and wood veneer mixed in (these speech bubbles are a NEW fave!), as well as some Amy Tangerine embellies.

I love scrapping mini pics like this in a patchwork way.  Lots of scraps, fun embellies, and machine stitching just =s fun.

And then I figured - Why not make a card with all that fab tape, too!?  :)

I stacked lots of tape along the left side of the card, covering one edge of the rough ends with a strip of patterned paper, and then wrapped twine around that and tied.

I machine stitched random lines through the tape and added some kraft heart stickers on top, & then embellished with Q&Co gems.

And then I used my Silhouette machine to cut the sun shape out, adding in the custom text greeting (Bebas Neue & Wisdom Script fonts).

(So good to be blogging more often this month!)

{SC: October's Roller Rink Revealed!}

It's almost October-time.  

My favorite, favorite month of the year >> or top three at least ;)

And so it's fitting that Studio Calico's October kit - ROLLER RINK - and it's addon friends, would rank as an all time fave, too!

This is what I made with it...

..."Love this Snap" >> My main only page this month, and a favorite shot of the boys from last month (printed as a 12x12 from Costco - i LOVE Costco!) - and I designed the "Love on an Arrow" silhouette cut that I used for my title - you can purchase it HERE.  :))

...Hello Kindergarten!  Another big print, the shot was from the little stylized back-to-school session that I did of Ev before Kindy started.  Journaling has thoughts on how the year has started (we love Kindy!).  That fabulous "Be Awesome" stamp is from Addon #4 - Toe Stop.

..."Look Momma!" >> One of my most-favorite-ever candid shots - I about died when Ev walked out of his room dressed up like this, this summer.  A layout was in order!

..."Thank You Very Much" >> This was made entirely from the main Roller Rink CARD KIT.  I LOVE that SC has this card kit now - the scaled down patterned paper (from that in the main kit) is perfection when it comes to card making.  I'm also loving that some of the main embellies are taken and re-designed for the card kit (like the 'thank you' badge here!).

...I Love You, I Really Do! >> This is also Roller Rink Main CARD Kit only.  Created for the Moxie Fab World blog - and I used my digi cut this month on the word bubble.  The Word Bubble Cut is designed to fit the word bubble stamp in the Main Card kit.

...Love U >> Another use of the love on an arrow cut.  :))
