And so, At 23 Months Noah...
...weighs in at 24.5 lbs. Teeny Tiny Him!
...wants to do anything, everything, and MORE than Evan does. It's scary how much he sees and then tries to mimic.
..."announces" which sesame street character is on his diaper at every diaper change (Pampers baby dry brand!). Saying elmo, big bird, and ernie with clarity.
...Shouts out "BAY-BEEEEE" about any child 3 or under (doesn't obviously matter that they are older than him!) that we see while out - OR any "baby" spotted on packaging/posters in a store. OR any mention of a "baby".
...is obsessed with popcorn. This started as a diversionary tactic during Ev's tee-ball games, and Noah's has now come to discover that Target sells popcorn. And it's not a bad $1.29 to spend to keep him sitting nicely in the cart for a solid 45 minutes... (just sayin').
...says "ROARRRRRR" anytime he sees a dinosaur. Or when he puts on his dino rainboots (which are very loved, and often worn in and around the house - or to pick up Ev from preschool).
...loves playing trains with Evan - which is nice because it's made Evan play trains more than he has in a long while.
...still tells me "pop pop pop" while poking his belly (in reference to bubbles!).
...Is not interested in the slightest in Daddy putting him to bed at night if I am home. He will COME AND FIND me and insist that I put him to bed. And his cuteness is persuasive. :)
...loves to find Evan's abandoned lego minifigures and play with them as quietly and sneakily as possible until I discover what he's up to, at which point he will bring them to me handing them up and saying "momma" (as if he just found them and knows that they are not for him).
...LOVES both the beach AND capri suns. Announces "bea-ch" as we drive along A1A and can spot the beach down each through street. And Capri Suns have proven to be much easier for him to hold and drink than juice boxes - he thinks they're gold.
...And is super-silly and funny ALL.THE.TIME. Especially when he has an audience. ;)

catch up!!!! This was week 11 (way-back-when like a month ago!):
Week 11 was St Patty's Day week, and full of lots of "info" from Evan on leprechaun's and "what will happen if you don't wear green on St Patty's Day" (I think he learned this at school?!), and the start of T-Ball games, OH and march madness too thrown in for good measure. :)
I think my very favorite photo this week was Evan in his little leprechaun "mask". He wore it home from preschool on wednesday of that week, and it totally MADE MY DAY. ;)
This is such a great example of a photo and little everyday memory that I probably would have snapped a pic of Pre-Project-Life, and it would have inevitably gotten lost in the piles of files of abandoned photo files on my computer. AND I LOVE that it's going to be remembered NOW, right here in week 11. ;) Thank you Project Life.
The insert this week is a cut down Style D (available in this mega-pack).
...with just a few "extra" type photos from the week included.
Love to mix in the STYLE E 6x6 protector to my spreads, and this week it was a great way to include a bit of journaling on some of Noah's current "words". So glad I jotted this list down that week, because he's added so many more in the past month. I keep a little journal for PL out and about and usually jot about two pages of notes for each week, as the week is going on, so that I can refer back when I'm creating the spread.
After the leprechaun mask, I think my "favorite" from the week was Evan asking me to "recycle" his sippy cup when he was finished >> (another learned at school topic). :)

ETA (some words!) - The lens seems fine, and was due for a cleaning anyways, so all is well - probably just wasn't the best thing for it, but I'm on the beach ALL THE TIME with my camera (and mainly that lens) shooting, so these things are bound to happen! I just thought it was funny that I had N's mischievious handful of sand captured on my card when I uploaded the pics!
half a month later i'm sneaking in with Noah's 22 month update.
we hit 22 months at the start of our "spring break" week, and the week just got away from me - with easter, passover, a trip to savannah, and another to south florida.
this was snapped in savannah... (i LOVE the little downtown streets there!)
(& honestly, I am just glad that I've managed to keep up thus far - and am almost through the 24 months that I wrote similar style updates for Ev...)
And so, at 22 Months Noah...
...still is hovering at around 24 lbs. I just went back to check and he's gained all of 4 lbs this past year. We're still rocking the 9 months infant sized shorts from target (bc that is all that will fit Mr SKINNY!).
...Makes lots of animal sounds on demand when asked. horse, cat, dog, cow, sheep, bird, goat to name a few.
...Has busted out a plethora of words in the past couple weeks. "beeee" (beach), "birrrr" (bird), "eh-an" (evan), "raffe" (giraffe), "wawa" (water), "bay-BEE" (baby), among more...
...Refuses to keep his shorts on at times, and makes a game out of taking them off when we're just hanging around the house. Similarly enough, he also refuses to keep his shoes on in the car - they are off within the first 5 minutes of our drive.
...still naps VERY well. usually from 2-4:30/5:00 every afternoon.
...LOVES toy story the movie best of all (and anything). When i let him "watch a show" he is not ok with just a "show" he wants TS1. And will say "no-no-no" when I try to select anything else. And then hand me the TS1 box and clap and yell "YAYYYY" when i put it on.
...likes to "ROOOOOAR" whenever he sees anything dinosaur-related. (or even a stuffed gecko for that matter!)
...will tell us "no.... no" (in the sweetest little soft voice) about anything that he's not sure he wants to do.
...LOVES gymboree class morning. and participates in ALL the activities (which makes me SO happy since evan was never a "group-participation kind of baby" ha).
...is enthralled with a target $1 spot sesame street "Bubbles" book. there's a part in it that goes "pop pop pop" where I make the point to pop pretend bubbles on his belly while reading, and i can hear (& see!) him entertaining himself on the video monitor in the morning after waking up in his crib) and saying "Pop Pop Pop" while poking his belly. (and i love that)
...is always on the go. and climbing SOMETHING. hence his "naughtypants" nickname. evan likes to ask me at preschool pickup time, what "naughtypants" things noah did during the morning while ev was away.
...is a bit obsessed with pointing out all the babies ("bay-bee") and water ("wawa") he sees.
...will pull out 12 (or more!) different books, pile them into the big rocker chair in his room, and then climb in and "read" them all to himself.
...and seems to know exactly when to grin & flash his little dimple at me. His timing is impeccable. :)

He LOVES the beach SO VERY MUCH right now (which is good bc we are there a lot!) and always wants to run straight into the water. Could not be further from how Evan was around this age (he used to scream that the sand and shells hurt his feet and also refused to go near the water for a good while!).
And now back to the crafting. :) I was thrilled to be asked to guest design for Bella Blvd this month. I have always ADORED their papers and embellies. THEY ARE TOTALLY ME & MY SCRAP STYLE! :)
This is what I made with the very generous assortment of product that they sent my way...
...Hello Sweetpea is collection of photos from Noah's "6 month" half birthday. "6 Months" for him fell at the beginning of the month of December - and while i took a TON of photos, I think I've processed all of two. :) ha. (STORY OF MY LIFE!) So when I knew that I wanted to use Bella's Baby Boy line as much as humanly possible on these projects (bc I adore it THAT much!), I immediately went back to his 6 Months photo files and found a few shots I loved to process and scrap.
The faux "photostrip" was created by sizing three pics to 2.5 square at 300dpi then arraning on a white background (also at 300dpi) and printing on excess space on one of my 12x18 prints at costo (make sure to leave white around the edge too, so that you can trim like a photostrip.
This "Baby Moments" page is a mix of the Baby Boy line and the Spring Collection. LOTS of little favorite b&w snaps of Noah. The title was cut with Bebas Neue & Japan (fonts) from my silhouette. I just ADORE this little border strip print paper - so many possibilities and the alligator is my FAVE (no surprise!). ;)
...I mixed in the baby boy chipboard embellies here & the baby boy stickers.
...I can't believe my "baby" is almost two!!! :)
And I cleaned up my project mess by creating this card with the scraps! I'm hoarding that cloud print paper and have already cut up my scraps as 3x4 pieces and stuck them in my Project Life stash.

MORE PL! :) I'm officially "caught up" to week seven...
...with lots of the following weeks filled in, and just missing a story here or an accent there - that seems to be the way I work with PL - fill as I go, decide what I need to add, fill a bit more.
Week 7 is one of my favorites so far.
Valentine's Day pretty much dominated the entire Left side of the spread...
With not one, but THREE inserts this week, with more V-day stuff.
The first contains a card that Evan made me at school (that i LOVE - it was 'Peter Max' inspired!). I used a regular 12x12 protector then just trimmed it to size and machine stitched up the left side. EASY-PEASY.
...and after that i used a cut-down something or the other protector (i can't remember what!) to hold the photo card that we attached to Evan's class valentines. (There's a sheet of his Star Wars valentines included on the backside of his hand-made card!).
The third (& last!) insert is a cut down Style A protector - pics from evan's class party on the front and also the story about how we created cute little "mailboxes" together before Valentines, then hung them up on the bedroom doors in our home...
...and snippets on the reverse side from a much-needed "datenight" that eric and I went on that week - along with the tweet that I sent after searching out the "robot" minifigure from Lego's series 6 new packs. :) I kept the package and stitched it onto the patterned paper backing along with the instagram pics.
and then we come back to the left side of the spread... I'm so glad I finally snuck in a weather screenshot - as this might have been the coldest it (sadly) got all winter. And I also had the chance to document our "muffin tin lunches" - I know that I'll love pics of these, 20 yrs from now! ;) And that's brand new SC Classic Calico 2 on the title card.
And that was week 7. phew.

which is a bit of a reality check, i must admit.
I feel like under two is still "baby" - and I'm reluctant to give that up right now...
I am loving this last-little-bit-of-baby stage...
...because he just gets a little bit funnier with every day.

At 21 Months, Noah...
...says something new every day. or almost every day. and granted it's sometimes only decipherable by me (and then translated to Daddy) - but I'll take it!
..."Sings" all the time - mostly unrecognizable songs, but sometimes I can make out the "ABCs".
...Eats off of a plate, and with a fork.
...weighs 24 lbs. According to his last ENT visit. YAY! I'm a bit skeptical though since he had shoes and (probably) a full dipe at the time. ;)
...loves to crawl up onto my lap and point out my "no" (nose), "mou" (mouth), and "eye". and knows all of his body parts (and has for a while).
...is perfecting his color recognition. LOVES to question me on what a color is and then point to it elsewhere.
...has decided Toy Story 1 is his FAVORITE movie. Will bring me the dvd when he needs a little downtime, to watch. And then will CLAP when i put it on. ;)
...CLAPS for a lot actually. and shouts "yaaaaaaaaay". (ie snacktime, turning in to pick up evan from preschool, when i tell him we can get a cookie (aka "dee-dee" in noah language) at publix, when I get a sippy cup out to get him juice, etc etc). ;)
...IS HUGELY ATTACHED to momma. More so than Evan ever was. And will jump around and start to cry if he thinks there's a chance that I'm trying to pass him off on Daddy at bedtime.
...likes to come find me and say "...Momma?!" and hand me anything he finds laying around the house that he deems as "mine" - ie my cell phone, chapstick, etc.
...DANCES in his carseat - like breaks it down and turns it on, full on kicking in his seat to the beat of a song he really likes. Which is only further encouraged by Evan dancing along too if he's in the car as well.
...likes to say "cheeeeeeeeeeee" when I ask evan to stop and "cheese" for me.
...has gotten very good at putting his hand-me-down croc shoes on. And even better at taking them off in the car as soon as we start going anywhere. ;)
...won't sit in the stroller while going into the mall unless i tell him we can go get a pretzel.
...will do anything Daddy says - when daddy tells him to do it in his "stern" voice - why, we don't know?! but we've figured out that he's a little bit scared of daddy and we're totally using that to our advantage and running with it. ;))
...is FABULOUS at picking up scraps of trash (or usually just scraps from my projects that I'm working on, on the kitchen counter, that have fallen to the floor) and throwing them away. It's like a little game for him.
...has the BIGGEST smile and BELLY LAUGH ever -- and when I get a true laugh like that out of him I cherish it. And wish that I could bottle it up forever.

I just discovered the "you are my happy" stamp on this set, and used it on my title card below - LOVE that phrase!
...this week was all about keeping up with the kids while eric was gone - starting t-ball - Mr potato head glasses(!) - assembling valentines - a trip into downtown jax - and seeing star wars in 3D (for eric & ev - i had eric snap a phone pic of the star wars poster at the theatre to include as a 3x4 card in PL)!!!
I'm thrilled that I managed to fit it all into just the single spread. Must have meant that I didn't snap that much that week. ;)
I translated the blog post story about the glasses (from early Feb) to the journaling card below with the mr potato head glasses pics...
...and that was week 6.
