today.
hard to believe - he's grown into a personality that far outweighs his tiny 26 lb self. ;)
and we love it.
We snapped a few shots this afternoon (since we never got a *real* 2 year shoot in), and also since I'm pretty much celebrating the fact that I'm wrapped on photo biz shoots and editing for the year - hooray!!!
:)
At 2 and a half, he...
...loves MICKEY most of all. But also really likes ninjagos, toy story (woody!), legos (evan's, forget the duplos), and Cars (the movie) characters.
...can sit and entertain himself with coloring for a good stretch of time at home or in the car or when we're out. And we haven't run into another *coloringONtheWALL* incident since late summer. ;)
...knows all his colors. My favorite to ask him about is orange as he calls it "oranges" (plural like a bowl of fruit).
...thinks he's five. AND wants to do EVERYTHING that Evan does. And be recognized for EVERYTHING that we tell Ev he's doing a good job for... If I say "that's great coloring, Evan!", Noah holds up his paper and says "Seeeee MINE too!" >>> just to earn his own "Great coloring, TOO, Noah!". ;)
...still naps most afternoons for 2-3 hours but can just as easily go with no nap and you wouldn't know the difference (other than the fact that I'm a little crazy from keeping up with him!).
...is an all-out cuddler. Wants me to put him to bed every night, which he knows will involve a good amount of rocking time and probably me falling asleep along with him in his comfy rocking chair.
...asks "i hold choo?" when he wants to be picked up. Or when we get out in a parking lot, bc he knows cars are "danger danger".
...still sleeps in his crib. He's only climbed out once, and we had a serious "talk" about whether we climb out or not, and he knows the score on that now. ;) We'll worry about a big boy bed later. notREADYforTHATyet.
...hates veggies. likes some fruit. LOVES pizza and "chih-EN" (aka chicken). and wants to marry apple-sauce. "Ah-NOH-THER app-pp-le sauce peas!"
...could read "brown moo" (mr brown can moo, can you?) every night. Along with "red caboose" (the little red caboose).
...is demanding. as in when he asks for something he needs it THEN. and repeatedly asks until you oblige.
...but on the other hand says 'please' and 'thank you' ('dank u') 99% of the time. :)
...loves "molly" the yellow train best in thomas the train land.
...tells me what "shirt" he wants to wear each morning when I walk in his room to get him up. "Wear blue mickey shirt, momma". and if i tell him it's dirty >>> "Oooooh. GATOR shirt!" etc etc.
...doesn't really love sweets. occasionally will ask for a "cut-cheee" (aka cookie). but would eat 15 packs of toy story fruit snacks each day if i let him. ;)
...and is smarter than his own good. He'll say something and Eric and I will just look at each other and say "how'd he know about that?!". This kid is ALWAYS watching... and taking it all in.
xoxo, sweetpea.
