...(currently) annoyed that I haven't blog documented the last almost three weeks. (*One of the main reasons that i DO blog is bc i love love LOVE looking back on the past x # of years and remembering things through the blog that I would have otherwise forgotten about.) And so, I wanted to update with something from the past few weeks. Here it is, a status update of sorts.
Currently:
LOVING: Summertime. Plain & Simple -- relaxed schedules, later wake-ups, & lots of pooltime. Plus impromtu afternoon beach outting with the boys. I'm a lucky momma.
HEARING: Noah say things like "sanks mama" (aka "thanks momma" when i do something for him or give him something) and "mick-EEE nap" (at bedtime) or "watch mick-EEE" (notice the mickey theme?!). LOVE that he's finally putting two words together.
READING: this, and just got through reading Flat Out Love - quite possibly the best book I've read all year?! have i mentioned lately that i LOVE my kindle!!!
EXCITED ABOUT: the Wii that we just bought for Evan for his bday next week (shhhh!). It's about time we (and by "we" i mean eric & i) learned how to play. ;)
LAUGHING ABOUT: How we told Evan that his karate and dance camp this week was "NINJA CAMP" and thus he keeps asking when he'll get to "do flips" at camp (like the lego ninjagos!). ;))
WATCHING: Big Brother. what else?!!!!
THINKING: that it's been almost 5 years since my "baby" was born. (he'll be 5 next week) that's just crazy. where has the time gone?!
& PROOFING: lots & lots from the past few weeks of summer - here a few faves. :)
...my almost 5-year-old, from last night. :) love it when i can erase the "i-have-to-take-a-photo-scowl" from his face and make him laugh (like this) while i'm snapping. (This is arriving tomorrow to be hung immediately on the wall!)
...the boys from the 4th. Thank you old navy for our annual tees!
...Evan's first-ever sparkler - he was reluctant to try it at first, but I'm so glad he got brave and did!
...Evening-golf in the front yard.
...THIS may be my favorite pic so far from the summer - Ev in his hawaii "get-up" (party favor from a friend's party last weekend!) and then he added on the cowboy hat & guitar from the stash of toys in his room and came out saying "hey look at me - just like in hawaii toy story" (aka the short).
...And my boys at the beach a few weeks ago. The beach that I shot this on is one of my favorite summer places.

i may need to steal this little 'update' idea of yours and do the same on my blog. gosh, so much i haven't documented because life is craaaazy. can't believe your baby is going to be FIVE. also, it's funny how much noah reminds me of levi (who is LOVING mickey right now). glad you are having a good summer!

You are a lucky momma, they are BEAUTIFUL! Can you say that about boys?...lol...your photos are always so rich with color, just gorgeous! they are lucky little guys to have a momma who loves to document their lives, they will appreciate it one day :)
