Way back when... (all the way in January! ha!) I was lucky enough to work with Studio Calico's newest lines - Abroad & Classic Calico 2 - to create a bunch of pages for display in their booth at the CHA Winter show...
And partly due to the craziness of that time for me (and the amount of work that I was balancing on my plate), I never got around to sharing them on the blog. So what better time than now. :)
The collections (along with Take Note!) JUST ARRIVED in stores, and are sure to sell quickly - I grabbed extras of my favorites already. ;)
Here they are...
...Click Click is lots and LOTS of new Abroad. The background aqua building print paper is the B-Side of the Locals Paper from the line - my personal FAVORITE. The pic (that my sister took of her cutie daughter, Ellie) was perfect with the new wood veneer cameras - which should be avail soon!
And the "click" title was cut with my silhouette (using the font "Japan") from the Frequency paper in the Classic Calico 2 line.
...Happy Girl - another cutie Ellie pic (I used her a LOT for these projects!!!). The bold background print is the B-side of the Destination Paper. I cut lots of little scrap strips from the papers with banner tails at the end and then tucked them under my photo & machine stitched wiht a zigzag stitch.
The woodgrain butterfly stickers were the perfect accent here (layered on top of both punched & chipboard butterflys), and the aqua polka at the bottom is the B-side of Departure, also another fave from the line!
...Hello Sunshine (yep, Ellie AGAIN!). ;) I just LOVE this pic. It's one of my favorites ever of her. So I made it BIG. ;) And added a strip of my VERY VERY FAVORITE NUMBER PAPER above the photo - You may have noticed this paper has popped up already in my Project Life spreads - and it no doubt will MANY more times, bc i love it that much. :) ha.
More woodgrain butterfly stickers and also the Wag Print from the Classic Calico 2 line used as the background here.
...You Shine. The background "burst-of-rays" paper here that the design was inspired by, is the Frequency paper from Classic Calico 2. I cut my photo into a circle and then added "rays" of other prints from the Classic Calico 2 line to follow the "rays" already on the background paper.
Punched stars and wood veneer stars "shine" along my rays... and I mixed in an aqua colored thread when I did some machine stitching on this page - usually forget to swap out my thread color, and always end up liking the look when I do! :)
...(and finally!) Sail Away - a favorite pic from Eric & my "no-kids" vacay last summer to St John! We didn't really "sail away", we definitely "flew away", but I couldn't get that song out of my head for some reason (?!) while I was making this, so I just ran with it! ;)
The Map Print Thickers from the Abroad line were perfect here, and I also mixed in a little Abroad Flair. Background paper print is the B-side of the Wag Print from the Classic Calico 2.

Your work is so inspiring! I just love your style!! I was curious: what on earth kind of sidewalk chalk was used to make the rainbow in the photo of your niece?? It is sooo vibrant!, How fun is that....or maybe it's not chalk?? I realize the photo was most likely edited a bit but still it had to be pretty bright & vibrant....I can only ever find pastel colors that barely show up.

These are all INCREDIBLE. Thanks so much for showing these off. I haven't seen the abroad line look so amazing until I saw how you combined the papers together.
