16 Months snuck up on us a little over a week ago.
And so, one (*late*) afternoon after naptime, I let Noah run around the backyard (chasing after Evan) in an attempt to capture him at 16 months (the best that you can when attempting to photograph a CRAZY-on-the-go toddler who likes to steal your lenscap!).
& I have to say that this IS him right now - happy, silly, smile-y, sweet, and FAAAST! ;)
At 16 Months Noah...
...weighs 22.4 lbs and is in the 15th percentile for weight (but 38th for height). I've started calling him my tiny baby again. ;)
...at the time of my writing this post (7 days post 16 Mos) - finally has SIX teeth! hooray. #5 (his top left next to the 2 center teeth) popped in a week ago and #6 (his bottom left...) came in a few days post 16 months.
...LOVES bananas. and loves to TALK about bananas. Anytime he sees one his little face lights up and we hear "naa-NUH" "na-nuh". Or if you mention "lunch", he starts telling you about bananas (a usual lunch food item). Or as soon as we enter the produce section at the grocery store, the na-nuh talk starts. ;)
...Likes to wrestle evan any chance he gets. Or "climb" me while I'm sitting on the floor with him.
...steals my alarm clock off of my nightstand anychance he gets - and then hides it around the house (its cordless). I found it in Eric's laundry hamper last week.
...says (and knows) "batman". we got him his own little batman (that he LOVES dearly) to combat the 95 or so different superheroes that evan has accumulated in his stash, and Noah knows that his batman is HIS and will also point out any "batman" that we see in a store or on packaging.
...applauds when we pull in the driveway and click open the garage door.
...waves "bye-bye" to evan when we take noah out of the bath first every night.
...ADORES sesame street. and his super-grover & elmo dolls.
...will eat more of a slice of pizza than evan does. he also loves cheese, bananas, & cupcakes with a passion. & Thankfully he decided that he likes french toast sticks for breakfast (most of the time) this past month.
...screams with everything he's got, when our babysitter arrives, and then is perfectly fine and having a blast playing with her 10 seconds after I leave the room.
...is still drinking a bottle of whole milk before nap and bedtime.
...LOVES book time before nap/bedtime. Favorites that took over this past month are That's Not My Pirate, Peekaboo Kisses, & Where Is Baby's Belly Button? (he will point out all the body parts in the book on himself as we read it!).
..."sings" to us when he feels like it. Evan and i have fun trying to decide what he's singing. He also loves to dance - his two favorite songs to dance to right now are by Death Cab, and Stevie Nicks (which goes to show you what eric and i play our cars all the time ;). He'll also totally bop to the ABC's. ;)
...and totally entertains us all the time.

Field Guide wasn't in the budget this month, so I only got the add-on papers. Now I'm kicking myself because I don't have those lovely butterflies, so I'd love to win!
