we are finishing up the week with a halloween parade at evan's school, and totally gearing up for trick or treating this weekend.
my sister's mother-in-law gave us this book at the beginning of the month - and i'm so glad she did - bc we've read it no less than two times each day - and it's really gotten ev in the spirit of the holiday... hehe.
he is SO excited for it this year... we talk about ghosts, mummys, spiders, and witches nonstop. along with all of the various candies and treats that he will be collecting at each house. ;)
noah gets to be a giraffe... we'll see what he thinks about that...

...Pumpkin Farm Day. a page with the photo that my sister took while we were visiting - and that i absolutely adore. :)
..."N". love the hat in this pic. it was evan's first. i had to dig it out of a bag of photog props to make sure i got some pics of noah in it. and i loved this shot when i went to browse through the photos after loading them to my computer. a super simple page - but so easy to finish in a flash when everything was in front of me from the kits. love that.
...4 Months. staying on track - as i refuse to be derailed - and completely up to date with noah's every month book. sorry if anyone is sick of these pages thus far... its almost a guarantee that there will be one each month! hehe. ;)
make sure that you also snag some extra SC patterned paper when you check out. it's a good one this month! love that bike print and also the yellow polka on the reverse. and don't forget a little bit of more color too!
oh and if you love the alpha stamps in the main kit - make sure that you grab THESE NUMBER stamps that coordinate! :)

So i'm officially the worst at blogging lately.
"life" has just gotten in the way. that plus the need to sleep more than 5 hours each night. ;)
(although right now i'd just be thrilled with 6 hours of uninterruped sleep!).
before i get to my sneakie peekies of the new november studio calico kit - napa valley... i thought i'd show you what the past week or so has looked like here.

(a trip to the cutest little "farm" ever - just north of jacksonville)
(cleaning cleaning and more cleaning to get our house put back to a semi-normal state - and now just to figure out what to put on the walls so they're not so completely bare!)
(the verdict is still out on whether or not i like and want to keep this color in the bedroom - which, btw is "seamist" by benjamin moore - and the table with my iMac on it was just temporary for this weekend...) my decorator/neighbor told me that plum colored accents would work really well with the citron-y seamist and tie together to the 'beachglass' in the main area - so that's what i'm thinking i'll be on the lookout for soon. ;)
(and lots of scrapping to get my kit pages finished!) woot woot. ;)

...those alpha stamps are part of the MAIN KIT... so fun to get such a versatile alpha stamp (that is a perfect size too, btw) IN THE KIT!
...love making butterflies and rhinestones work on my boy pages.
...there's that cloud punch again!!! the two sizes of cloud punches - XL punch and L punch - have officially become my favorite tools in a LOOOONG time! ;)

amidst the chaos that has ensued over the past few weeks....
HE turned 4 months old.
a third of a year! how is that even possible?!
and so, at 4 months, noah...
...looks more and more like daddy each day. i totally see it in his expressions, his smile, and his eyes. :)
...loves to be carried around the house to look at each mirror available. and will coo at himself endlessly!
...can roll over from his belly to his back. we only discovered this partly on accident - gramma (my mom) put him on his belly to play while i was napping, and then informed me when i woke up, that he was now rolling over. nice.
...weighs 14 lbs 8 ounces and measures 25 inches.
...thinks ceiling fans are the coolest. he could watch them spin for hours.
...is still rocking a half-swaddle-wrap in his aden and anais swaddles at bedtime. (i ADORE these swaddle wraps!)
...loves the exersaucer. doesn't love the music that accompanies it. just keep that turned off please. ;)
...nurses on average about 6 times a day. sometimes has a bottle or 2 thown in for good measure.
...laughs ALL the time.
...has fallen victim to a 4 month growth spurt that has nastily interrupted his amazing sleep patterns. :( (i also happen to think that being away from home for 2 weeks majorly screwed up the sleep routine).
...will nap for up to 3 hours in the swing in the afternoon. but only for 10 minutes if placed in the crib. ;)
...is a drool machine, and also likes to try to fit his whole hand in his mouth.
...is obsessed with his singing seahorse. we've actually had to purchase a second "backup" seahorse. :)
...is just a tad impatient. when he wants something, he WANTS IT. no waiting please.
...is starting to find his feet. which is pretty darn cute.
and
...gives me the most adorable big gummy smiles each morning when i get him out of his crib (which i love!).

only now it's thursday. oops.

(came home from getting my nails done to find this one sunday afternoon before we left for the reno.) >>> 2 of my boys sound asleep together. (the other napping in the room next door). so cute. xo.
and everything looks brand-new.
And i love it.

Except for the layer of ground-up-grout-dust (courtesy of all the tile that was ripped up) that is covering EVERY.SINGLE.ITEM. in our house.
i've been wiping stuff for 2 days straight.

Wanted to mention that the fabulously talented Crystal Wilkerson has created a series of templates inspired by my page designs. She used her adorable digi elements to create these "quick pages" that can be easily finished by just adding your own photos and journaling and title.
i LOVE the simplicity of this idea... I think it's perfect even for a non-digi scrapper like me... and i definitely plan on creating a bound photo-style book with the templates. :) The first two templates are currently available!
There will be 20-25 templates total (so that you can fill a whole book!) - And as she releases a few each week, they will be available for purchase for just a $1 for the first 3 days, then $2.99 each after that.

eric has been texting me pics of the reno-progress and i am definitely antsy to see it in person!
in the past 2 weeks we've survived Noah's 4 month growth spurt (i think that combined with the 'being away' was tough for him) - had lots of low-key play time - and even managed to squeeze in an afternoon of pumpkin-picking with the cousins...
