i finished another quilt last weekend...
and just had time to photo it today.
the blue and green fabrics completely remind me of seaglass - hence the name - and so i stopped by the beach on the way to pick ev up from school today, and shot it there ;)
the backing is almost a solid turquoise print, with a touch of the apples and polkas mixed in...
It's made up of lots of strips of various prints - no real pattern, just strips > some pieced together with little blocks...
and just for fun, i thought it would be nice to do a random straight line grid type stitching/quilting pattern >> the result is lots of nice puffy squares & rectangles:
...the bamboo batting that i used gives it a really nice drape:
...and if interested, it's up on etsy >> you can see more details HERE. ETA: SOLD! :)
:)

Susan, your quilts are just gorgeous!!! You are so talented..and you are turning them out so fast?! How do you do all that, along with scrapbooking, having a toddler, life, etc? lol

Oh boy! I think this might be my favorite one of yours yet...absolutely beautiful. If I was anywhere near having a family I'd definitely have to have this. I can't believe how quickly you're churning these little quilts out. I had to lock my sewing machine in the closet in order to get some work done...

I agree with all of the other ladies' comments, SUCH beautiful quilts. I have a question, how do you quilt your quilts? It looks like you just straight machine stitch different increments of straight lines, is that correct? I saw your post about the steps on Fiskers website... were the instructions there?
Thanks, and maybe I can be lucky enough to snatch one up too!

Susan, unfortunately, your quilts seem to sell before I can even get a good look at them on Etsy! :) (Not unfortunate for you, of course!) How much are you typically listing them for? Would you consider a custom order? I am expecting my first baby girl in early January and I'd love one of your creations in pink, green and brown fabrics. I typically love your fabric designer choices - love Amy Butler stuff, etc. Just curious. You can email me at amylynaugustine@gmail.com when you have time. Thanks! Amy
PS - I tried my hand at sewing recently using your "burpies" instructions - I surprsised myself with my talent! :)
