** ETA: I'm keeping this post open while i search the house for my first-ever scrapbook page... So keep commenting... Hopefull I'll be able to post a winner on Friday! **
guess what?!
it is raining. AGAIN. not even kidding.
the kind of all-day, nonstop rain we've had the pleasure of enjoying for 4 out of 5 days this week. yuck!
good thing i have a little give-a-way today... woot woot!
:)
My fabulous-ly talented, super-cute, and ultra-creative (that's 3 hyphens there!) Minnesota-based friend Michele (Skinner) recently wrote a book... (i am so proud of her!)...

...about journaling, and how to make your scrapbook pages more meaningful. because really, that - the journaling and memories and taking note of what's happening - is at least one of the reasons why most of us paste photos on paper and horde embellishments and supplies and love this crazy hobby - a hobby that has now become a way of life for me, and many of you, too - right?! :)
>>> and i'm not going to lie. the book is amazing. :)
I love how Michele finds so many different ways to spark creative journaling on our pages, and includes ideas in the book that range from email excerpts to Q&A sessions to using lists to writing letters and on and on.
Here's the link >> Your Words Your Story >> it's full of tons of Michele's work, and as an added bonus LOTS of her gorgeous photography(!), like this cute page that is one of my faves!

...and there are also pages from so many of my other favorite scrap-designers - Sue Thomas and Nisa Fiin to name a few ;) These 3 ladies - Michele, Sue, & Nisa - are among a select few that constantly inspire me to create more, to document more, and to push my photography beyond my comfort zone, and on top of that - they are all amazing friends. :)
And now, i have a copy of the book to give-a-way here...!
so leave me a comment - i'll leave this open for comments through the holiday weekend until Tuesday or Wednesday - and tell me how long you've been scrapbooking!? And, if you want to throw in your favorite subject to journal about, that's awesome too, i'd love to hear, i get so many great ideas from blog readers!
happy weekend :)
& go away rain.
I have been scrapbooking since my 1st son was born in 2001. My mom died when I was 24 and my dad can't rememmber a lot of the little things about me and my siblings as kids, so I just try to journal about all the little things for them.
