it has been SUCH a busy week.

there has been a lot of change in his little life of 7 years.

evan is currently going through a very strong anti-hat policy.
which shouldnt come as much of a surprise after last year.
he did, however, enjoy snapping toby's hat off by the elastic a few times... ;)
just another of the many reasons why we love toby...

this is what today looked like:
toby spent a lot of time in time out (for barking).
evan spent a lot of time playing with what i was trying to pack/organize.
and, yet............... i am proud to say >> i spent a lot of time packing.
in total, 11 boxes were packed.
woot woot :)
counting the days till our closing next week.
thinking about the concept of packing. not actually packing yet. just thinking about it. and not in a fond way if you know what i mean ;)
& trying to divide, conquer, and organize all of the associated tasks that go along with the fun that is moving... ;)
i did, however, make time to finally finish the quilt that i was piecing back in november - here...

the fabrics are all from amy butler's daisy chain fabric line --- its going to go so well in evan's new room... which i am busy planning :)
and... i also somehow snuck in some scrappy time for this, this week...

the stamps are new hero arts - the border punch is new uppercrest punch from fiskars that i am obsessed with - and there is lots of AC in there too!

i am so SO late in posting ev's 18 mo update...
and i have some cutie 18 month pics that i took - on my computer at home.
but, evan and i ended up taking an impromptu trip to south fla this week, and so i'm without those shots here, & - instead - with THIS fun fun shot that my sister kristi snapped for us on monday:

and so, at 18 months, evan:
...now say hah-boom to mean yes. (we have run the gamut from ha to ho to hum to now this.)
...is obsessed with the ice dispenser on the front of the fridge. its pure MAGIC.
...cries when its time for a bath. bc it means his playtime is interrupted. :(
...is not afraid to throw a temper tantrum in public. niiiiiiiiiice.
...tries to sing the clean up song with me all the time, but really just makes a cute cute "cl cl" sound.
...likes to be chased around the house. while i yell "i'm going to get you". ha.
...thinks tickling it the ultimate in fun.
...is still loving the 'goodnite florida and chicago' books. i need to find a minnesota and philadelphia version. ;)
...would eat an entire watermelon if i let him.
...would live at the park if we let him.
...AND. cracks us up with his sense of humor. all the time.

for a few more minutes anyways...
& alot of the same-old same-old has been going on in our house this week...
i did, however, manage to (1) get fresh highlights in my hair this week. (2) edit a TON of photos. (3) create a super-fun sewing project for fiskars that i cant wait to share! (4) eat about 16 mint skinny cow ice cream cones ;) (5) survive the freezing FL temps this week. hehe. really it was cold tho! (6) catch up on ALL of my dvr'd shows. so glad some of my faves were back this week. (7) find & purchase the barn yard animal sound puzzle that i had wanted to get evan for valentines day. (8) return *almost* all the email in my inbox that needed a response. (9) read 5 magazines. (10) drool over the PB catalog. (11) discover that urban outfitters has furniture (i want!) online. (12) update evan's photo album on facebook. (13) stalk numerous friends on facebook ;) (14) visit - and see - our house-to-be WITH the lights/power on. (inspection time!). (15) AND eat a cupcake.
i think the cupcake was def a highlight. :)

you'd better be ready to sport a colander...
grammy and pop-pop did. (they actually brought their own ;)
and evan LOVED it.
