i've been sewing a TON lately.
so much so that i'm pondering the purchase of a new machine...???
* ps it should be noted that my current machine is a $99 singer special from walmart - ;)
last week i whipped up a stack of burpies for my sister - (so that baby ellie could have some new ones of her own!) - and i thought it might be nice to blog them...
these are so SEW(!) easy to do...
i posted my own process with directions about a year ago on the fiskars crafts site HERE...
and i have to say, besides looking cute, they are also WAY more functional & durable than just a plain old burp cloth...
let me know if you try some out :)
ETA: I use cotton fabric (not flannel) on these! All fabric is from my stash of small yardage amounts (i horde!)... ;) from left to right (1) the pinks are amy butler and the brown polka is robert kaufman, (2) floral is anna maria horner, (3) owl print is robert kaufman and i *think* the green might be a free spirit print? -- my main online source for fabrics is www.quilthome.com - HTH!! :)

These are gorgeous! YOu are so, so talented!

These are so cute! I do have a question though -- I tend to find that quilters cotton tends to repel fluids more than soak them up. Have you had a problem with this?
