first off...
with a little help from photoshop and some avery injet tshirt transfers (left over from my sister's halloween costume-creation)...
i created the onesie of my dreams ;)
here it is.
and i completely admit to borrowing 110% of the front logo design right down to one of my very favorite typewriter fonts, from the fabulous jeri hoag who created similar onesies for her little guy, Brodie... :) thank you thank you!
i did, however, manage to squeeze out enough creativity to personalize the back of the onesie - with both an espanol shout-out (and i don't even speak spanish!) and sesame street tribute tagline. cute, eh?!
So with the onesie done, it was time for Evan's 6 months photo shoot on Sunday. And this is what i got...
evan playing with his blue elephant that grandma gave him, evan examining his toes, and evan looking out the window... everything, except evan looking at the camera.
great. whatever. so we tried again today.
and i'll take this....

and i also enjoyed seeing this one when i just loaded the shots a few minutes ago... evan is SO interested in the camera these days. like he wants me to give it to him, so he can put it directly into his mouth, of course. ;)
and so, here is what ev's up to at 6 months...
...tasting new foods - so far we've done avocado, sweet potatoes, and acorn squash.
...*almost* sitting. like sitting for 30 seconds and then flopping. so that =s mostly sitting with a little bit of help from momma and dadda.
...becoming a jumparoo champ. (i think that at this point he'd opt to go pro given jumparoo-ing was a sport!)
...talking. tons and tons of squeals and jibber-jabber. AND we've had 4 instances of maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamamamama in the past 3 days. each time he's been upset and wanted me to pick him up. im not sure if he's working on the "m" sounds this week or trying out "mama" - but i'll take it. ;)
...LOVING toby. Laughing at toby. Reaching out to pet toby anytime toby get close enough. which always =s toby giving evan 532 licks, and then i have to eventually cut toby off. :)
...LAUGHING at everything. everything is SO funny. love his little laugh.
...Grabbing his feet. Sucking on his toes. ooooh, the flexibility of babies. :)
...finally, FINALLY rolling over. and only because he finally figured out that he could - not because he tolerates tummy time. because he is def still NOT a fan of tummy time. :(
...reaching for everything. examining everything. loving his reflection in the various mirrors on his baby toys.
...AND, teething! we've had one tooth (his bottom right) pop through. ouch.
