a baby Santa hat + poodle reindeer "ears" = an instant photo shoot...
too bad (for photos) that it was incredibly sunny today... i think we may possibly need a "redo" later on in the week.
this is how it went...
Evan totally interested in toby. Evan really really REALLY wanting to "pet" toby. Toby barely tolerating ev's "pets" along with the reindeer "ears"... all with the expectation that large amounts of treats will be coming his way... ;)
Toby getting seriously annoyed. Toby looking at me and wanting to know when the promised treats will be handed out and/or delivered to him???
Toby totally D-O-N-E. Not really participating anymore. But still sitting perfectly still so that he ensures that he will get those treats!! :)
dont worry.
toby got the treats. :)
and another little fun one of ev...
PS. Toby has a haircut scheduled for next monday. I've been a bad poodle momma and have neglected the grooming appts over the past 4 months... For now, we have been calling him "stoner poodle"... since really, that is kinda what he looks like. ;)
ETA: PPS. We know about the voluntary bumbo recall. We are being extra careful with it! :)

hi!
evan is so so so cute. have a new little one of my own too. I just wanted to let ya know that the bumbo seat has been recalled. just thought i would let ya know. I had to take mine back to babies r us.
xoxo,
anna

love the pictures of evan and toby... and I totally know what you mean about not getting the dog groomed once the baby gets here... we finally had to have a mobile groomer we know come to the house. Our poor schnauzer looked homeless before his haircut :o)

haha.. I was thinking, Toby looks so different! Don't you hate the constant grooming? Just wait till Evan starts really terrorizing Toby, thats when the fun starts. Cute photos!

Those are such great pics! And, the bumbo recall? Well, that was just ridiculous! Easy enough, don't leave your baby in it, on a table, unattended. Seems like common sense, right?

Love the sweet pics, Susan! Both of your children are so cute! ;) Oh, and I can't believe people actually left their children in a bumbo on a table or a high place. I mean, DUH! I loved my daughter's Bumbo! I think they're great! Have a great Tuesday! :)

oh, my gosh... i almost died when i saw your blog this morning! i have a 7-month-old and a 10 lb pekingese/poodle mix, and over the weekend we took the EXACT same picture, for our xmas cards. ours were both wearing hats, but they were in front of the tree in the exact same positions. it was all our poor dog could do to sit there and be good with something on her head and my son trying to grab her. she really worked for those treats. ;)

So cute! I love the pic of Evan with the tree. And.. ehh.. don't mind that Bumbo recall. I think its only idiots who can't seem to use them correctly HAHA! I have a Bumbo that I used with Porter, and I'll be using it again with baby #2. I love the Bumbo seat!

Your post was too funny! The pics were adorable, even if they weren't perfect. That's 2 tough subjects to get to cooperate--a baby & a pet! Hopefully you'll get the perfect photo next time around. ;)

ok, i'll admit...i'm a lurker. i LOVE your blog! you are so creative and talented! love your baby! he is precious! i have a question for you - how do you make those darling frames for your pics with the captions? I can think of very time consuming ways to re-create them, but I am wondering if you have a simple trick. oh, love your tree too! :)
