woke up this morning and the leaves were hitting the ground.

it's officially fall-in-full-swing.  :)

thankful for our next door neighbor's fabulous maple tree...

maybe we need a maple??

just in case i ever need a reality check on the glamour-quotient in my life...

here it is...  the scene in my family room today...  and, really, what it's truly looking like EVERY day these days...

A gazillion and one baby toys EVERYWHERE...

The former coffee table/couch which has now been conveniently converted into my relocated scrapspace-workarea...

Dog toys strewn all over the floor in the back of the room...

Photos in stacks all over the floor waiting to be put into one of Ev's albums...

How could any day be bad...

when i get to wake up to this???

it's cold, rainy, and dreary here...

hoping for better weather later on in the week...

{more babies!}

so the week is almost over...

where did it go?  the days just fly by lately...

& i decided that i have way too many fun baby pics not to share some more...

first...  dual bowls.

I picked up an extra IKEA bamboo(?) bowl for Kristi, and we decided that we needed to try it out...  Ev loaned his green Gap Favorites onsie to cousin Paige, and he choose brown for this little photoshoot... :)

Oh, and i feel like they look like such big kids here...  but they are only 2 mos and 3.5 mos...  Paige is 6 weeks older than Evan! (even though they were due a day apart!)

...and some cutie halloween pics with a festive sleeper that Kristi bought for the babies (it's a Carters sleeper!)...

i imagine it going something like this: "trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!"...  you have to love Ev's facial expression in the last shot!!

So, we have come to the conclusion that 2 babies are better (and cuter!) than one.

My mom & sister Kristi planned a fall trip (way back in July) to visit us and bring along her adorable new baby girl, Paige, to meet cousin Evan...

Ev and I went to the airport to meet the three of them on Thursday afternoon, and while we were busy waiting on baggage and feeding babies, out of nowhere my OTHER sister - Kimmie - comes running up.

WHOA.  total suprise.  :)

Kimmie flew in from Naples, FL (where she lives)...  because she didnt want to miss out on the fun.

and even though it went by way too fast, it was a FUN weekend!

wish we could say that we took advantage of the great fall weather, but i can't.  ha.

we did however, do some shopping, lots of eating(!), & brave the 80-something degree heat to visit what will from now on be referred to as the "Donut Farm".  :)  forget the apples - its seriously about time to admit that we really only go for the apple donuts!

PS.  since I use my 50mm lens (in conjunction with my Rebel xTi) ALL THE TIME now that Evan's here...  i decided to upgrade my 50mm 1.8 lens to the canon 1.4 last week.

all photos here were taken with the 50mm 1.4...  (it's SO fast!!  i love it!)...  and there are many more photos from the weekend to go through...  Kristi took a bunch of me with Ev, that I have been busy sorting & processing...

this is my favorite so far!

I'll hopefully get a chance to post more this week! :)

{October Uno}

I'm trying to get better about using my cute little Canon A620 Powershot...

And, in an effort to do so, i decided to bring it along on Ev, my, and Toby's evening walk...

this is how our walk started out tonight...

((*notice toby patiently waiting far, far away from Ev's screaming hysterics*))

at which point i decided that our plan for a peaceful walk was going to hell in a handbasket..............  unless i went inside and found a paci.

notice the improvement in everyone's mood with the paci.

So, armed with the paci, we were able to proceed...

I think Evan was a little confused by the cool, fall air...

((he kept trying to "taste" it... tongue totally sticking out...  somehow i missed a pic of that...  but you'll have to believe me - it was cute!))

and........ Toby totally enjoyed himself as always...

In the newly created format of Evan + Stroller + Toby + Me walks (as opposed to the more simple variety of Toby + me walks just 2 months ago!), Toby's leash now gets hooked onto the side of the stroller and he is forced to keep up!!

Which is good for him.

And with delicious walks like these, I have been constantly reminded this past week of why i love fall.

LOVE IT.

(we mostly missed it last year while we were traveling in Europe...)

Love that the leaves are starting to turn here...

it's getting all crunchy everywhere...

and it just plain smells good.  :)

It's def time for some apple donuts... (that is on the agenda for this weekend!)

and with that said...
