{Chicago}

Spent the past weekend in Chicago - totally enjoying the city with our tour-guide-extraordinairre, Miss Kelly.  And we crammed a whole lot into less than 48 hours, lemme tell you...  Here are the photo highlites:

FUN FUN FUN.  The entire weekend could not have gotten any FUNNER, i tell you.  (Well, except maybe for that HOUR that we spent sitting on the highway in Wisconsin because of roadwork!)  So glad that we had the chance to see Chicago while we live so close...  Can't wait till the next time we're back and able to get some more of that yummy, YUMMY deep-dish pizza...  Thank you Kelly for showing us around!!!  It was so good to see you, and I'm so happy that Eric and the "Tobster" we're able to meet you -- You're the best!

{Buble}

I'm slightly obsessed with Buble.

Michael Buble that is.

#3 Did I mention that he's HOT?

After hearing Elliot sing it on A.I. 2 weeks ago, I finally downloaded the Buble version of HOME last night (from itunes), and have been listening to it on repeat ALL DAY.  Eric totally made fun of me, and just for that, he is NOT getting any Buble on his ipod.  Oh, & I should mention that I'm not sure if I even like any other Buble songs (and really, isn't it fun just to say "Buble"....  it's like "boob-laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay"... fun, seriously)...  But I guess that doesn't really matter, since I'm in luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv with this song.

Wondering if becoming a sudden-Buble-fan makes me old?  Am I not cool anymore because I have Buble on my favorites playlist???  hmmmmm, who cares, he's hot.  :)

So, I went to the dentist today...  think I've posted about this before...  I'm somehow mega-proned to cavities, and dental work, and thus I always DREAD the dentist (there's never any good news to be had there)...  so I had the required semi-annual cleaning, and then saw the dentist for the actual exam...  and then heard something that I haven't heard in years...

You look great -- NO CAVITIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that this calls for a sweet reward...  maybe cupcakes?!?!?

{the weekend}

So, Eric had planned an EXTENSIVE landscaping adventure for us this past weekend...  We've been wanting to landscape our front yard...  create more curb-appeal, yada-yada...  And we had all the required electric/wire/utility people come out and spray paint those lovely bright orange lines all over our yard last week, so that we wouldn't damage anything when we dig...  and then it RAINED.  ALL WEEKEND LONG.  and yesterday too.  SO there went the landscaping "adventure"...  (and I say Adventure because any home improvement project that we do, seems to turn into a full-blown 'adventure')...  but, it is most definitely back on for next weekend...  so watch out...  gorgeous landscaping pics to come in the weeks ahead...

So that left us with no weekend plans...  and then in the mail on Saturday we get this shopping bag, from Old Navy...  and it's a promotional thing -- everything you can fit into the bag is 20% off with your banana/gap/ON card.  S-wwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeet!  I am a sucker for promotions.  Loved this one.  Told Eric that he needed new t-shirts for summer and we headed off to Old Navy, with the intention of buying ONLY for him!  HAH.... Wouldn't you know it that we left with SEVEN SHIRTS FOR ME (and a pair of pants), and only one shirt (that was on clearance for $2.50) for him...  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA :)  Love when that happens...  O.N. has some great stuff right now...  a few of the things that I stuffed into the bag:

And everything there seems to be like $10...  how great is that???  I seriously need to shop there more often... :)
