(my sweet 3rd child who gets the last-minute style posts each month...!)
We had such a great trip to NC mid-month in October, right at the time you hit 17 months. Pics in this post all from that trip.
Nash, at 17 months you...
...make us laugh all the time.
...love shoes! You find all the abandoned shoes and return them (after hijacking them for a minute or so) to their rightful "owners" handing them up and offering them to us.
...love your "brothers" so SO much. I call them "brothers" when I talk to you about going to see them and see what they're up to, or going to pick them up from school - which is your FAVORITE - you squeal when the door opens and then say hi and get in.
...are still living off of mac n'cheese. Grapes & peas are also healthy faves, and cheddar bunnies remain in 1st place as favorite snack. & You've been loving lots of little varieties of egg-free muffins that I've been making (apple & pumpkin!).
..."talk" to us about "Guh-Gahs" all the time. Guhgahs can mean cats, dogs, or mickey mouse(!!!). You love to point one out and say it!
...are picking up more and more ways to communicate with us - lots of pointing and the starts of sounds to words - which we catch onto and interpret.
...are a sorting champ. You'll line up anything, even your food on your tray once you're finished eating. You love the "Play Legos" by taking them all out of the bin, lining them up, then neatly placing them back in the bin.
...stack blocks and then clap for yourself.
...still love to play peek-a-boo with us bc I think you realize that we ALL think it's adorable!!!
...like to rock before bed, but once you're ready for bed you look at us and smile and point to the crib.
...are cruising and standing up on everything.
...HIDE from everyone at the grocery store and target, ducking into the front seat part of the basket for imaginary cover --- and then put yourself in a little mini-trance while you hide.
...play a great "catch" -- throwing and catching and crawling after the ball across the room with anyone who will play. You also play a crazy "floor football" game with your brothers around the living room (that I'm pretty sure Evan invented as a way to get around the no football in the house rule), where they toss you the ball and let you "run" with it and then let you "tackle" them by crawling over them and scoring.
...& still let me hold you and carry you around and show you things. (wall photos are FAVES to look at!)
We ALL love you so, SO much.
